Breaking news for Westport Presbies and friends

Dear Westport Presbies, family and friends,

We are having a wonderful, beautiful week in heART and SOUL, our arts and spirituality day camp for young people. We have 12 disciples (smile), and a lot of dedicated staff and volunteers. See attached photos of some of our activities!

This Sunday, Joe Criswell is preparing a spaghetti dinner for lunch. And we are combining it with a house warming for Roy Fester, who is finally transitioning from being homeless to having an apartment to live in at Westport House. Some people have already brought items in (bed and box springs, pots and pans, coffee pot, towels. We praise God! Here are some things that are still needed:

coffee table
chair
toaster
sheets
plates
silverware
mugs
glasses
a few groceries
coffee filters

Thank you for your support of the shower ministry.

A lot of people are giving generously to the BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT. We are about $250 from our $1,200 goal! Thanks to everyone who has given. Help us reach our goal this week!

Celebration of Holy Communion is this Sunday, August 4.

Last Sunday’s sermon, “The Triathlon of Faith” is linked.

Bobbie Testa and Vic Dyal are hosting a POOL PARTY on Saturday, Aug. 17. Pool opens at 3 pm and dinner is at 6 pm. They are providing meat and beverages. Please bring a side dish to share. Need to sign up for this so they know how many are coming!

Nancy Brockman and Nancy Gay are back after hospitalizations. Thank God, their families and many dedicated people in the medical field! Keep in your prayers: Steven Thomas, Philip Coonce, family of Echard Hellmuth, Brenda Catterfield, Mike Roush, Kathy Westbay and all children, parents, families suffering from the border and immigration crisis.

Keep the faith……..Rev Scott
