CHORAL ANTHEM:  The Lord’s My Light— text, Scottish Psalter, Psalm 27; music, Henry Ruthven

The Lord’s my light and saving health, who shall make me dismayed?
The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom then shall I be afraid?
One thing I of the Lord desired and will seek to obtain,
That all the days of my life I may within God’s house remain.
And now, even at this present time, mine head shall lifted be
Above all those that are my foes and ‘round encompass me:
Therefore unto God’s tabernacle I’ll sacrifices bring,
Of joyfulness I’ll sing, yea, I to God will praises sing.

Morning Prayer, Lord’s Prayer,
SUNG RESPONSE:
  Into My Heart               Sing the Faith #2160
OFFERTORY MUSIC: Come, Dearest Lord-text, Isaac Watts; music, James Kirkby
                 Offering link

Come, dearest lord, descend and dwell by faith and love in ev’ry breast;
Then shall we know, and taste, and feel the joys that cannot be expressed.
Come, fill our hearts with inward strength, make our enlarged souls possess
And learn the height, and breadth, and length of thine unmeasurable grace.
Now to the God whose power can do more than our thoughts or wishes know,
Be everlasting honors done by all the Church, through Christ, the Son.
