(Video will be posted on the church’s FB page at 11am and those on Facebook will watch together with a watch party.  Video will be cross-posted here ASAP once it is posted on facebook)

PRELUDE: Innig (with sentiment) from Davidsbündler—Robert Schumann
CALL TO RETURN TO OUR SOULS
HYMN: Bring Forth the Kingdom (#2190 Sing the Faith)
CALL TO CONFESSION AND COMMITMENT—Dr. King

The trouble isn’t that we don’t know enough,
But that we aren’t good enough.
The trouble isn’t that our scientific genius lags behind,
but our moral genius lags behind.
The great problem facing us
is that the means by which we live
have outdistanced the spiritual ends for which we live.
So we find ourselves caught in a messed-up world.
The problem is with us and our souls.
We haven’t learned how to be just and kind
and loving and forgiving and true.
And that is the basis of our confession
of our deep, damaging and self damaging problems.
Amen.

PRAYER OF DEDICATION

We long for the time
when the meek shall inherit the earth
and all who hunger and thirst after justice
shall be satisfied,
and we believe that,
despite the persistence of evil,
now is always the time
when more good can be done
and we can make a difference.
In the upside down world of the gospel,
we measure our wealth not by what we have,
but what we give away.
May it be so,
through the offering of these gifts
and the offering of our lives.
Amen.

HYMN: He’s Got The World In His Hands (#80, Worship and Rejoice)
Alternate between “He” and “She” stanzas, then stanza 1 again with “they”)

SUNG RESPONSE: Lead Me, Guide Me (#740, Glory to God)
POSTLUDE: Balladenmässig (from Davidsbündler)-  Robert Schumann
