Back to School Project

Church Mission Project:
School Supplies for Local Children

Starts: Early July
Ends: Early August

Each year our mission & outreach committee organizes a church-wide effort to provide back to school supplies for low income children and families in our community.

This year our church is partnering with Willow Woods Child Development Center. We will be collecting school supply lists from the families in order to provide them with the items they need most. We hope to raise around $1,200 to provide supplies for up to 12 children.

To help us reach our goal, you can place a cash donation in a pew envelope or make a check out to Westport Presbyterian Church and mark it “Back to School”.

We will be collecting money through Sunday, August 4 and then shopping for supplies in early August. If you would like to volunteer to help with the shopping, contact Karen Elmer for more info.
