Girl / Woman / Girl
Kevin’s paintings carry overtones of Hopper and Benton, and he is often compared to Katz. His work has a slightly primitive look that reminds the viewer of the relationship between the camera/canvas/painter/subject, often caught unaware in a moment in time. His oeuvre offers a personal connection between the viewer, artist, and subject, revealing everyday acts hinting at unknowns. Each work offers a view of intriguing subjects that capture the subject’s essesnce in a kaleidoscope of color and movement.
Opening Reception on Friday, May 16 at 1PM. The exhibit will be on display in the WCA gallery Monday-Wednesday & Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. through June.
