News In and Around the Community:

Joint Ramadan dinner at 2nd Presbyterian on March 7, 5:45

Dietary Restrictions:

• Any type of fish, fruits, and vegetables are welcome.
• Beverages should be non-alcoholic.
• Store-bought kosher and dairy items are generally acceptable (look for a circled U, K, or D on the package).
• No vanilla extract or vanilla-flavored items, as they may contain alcohol.
• No pork or any pig-derived products.
• We prefer halal meat (chicken, lamb, or beef), available at Shahrazad Market (Overland Park), Pak Halal (Lenexa), Jasmine Market, etc.

March 22 – 5pm Chili Soup Dinner, 6pm Taize service
A Taize service is a contemplative style of Christian worship that combines meditative singing, readings, silence, and candlelight to create a peaceful and meditative atmosphere

The children will be singing with the choir on March 15 and April 5

Easter Season is around the corner!

• PALM SUNDAY SERVICE Sunday, March 29, 11am
• GOOD FRIDAY TENEBRAE SERVICE Friday, April 3 6:00 p.m.
• EASTER SUNDAY COMMUNION SERVICE Sunday, April 5 11 a.m.
• EASTER LILY ORDERS:  If you would like to order an Easter Lily for Easter Sunday, please use the sign-up sheet at the back of the sanctuary, or you may contact the church office. The cost is $15 each. You can pay by check or cash and write Easter Lily in the memo line or on the pew envelope. Orders are due by March 29 (Palm Sunday).

KC English Dance – March 7, 7PM (6:30 for beginners) – Basement
St Patrick’s Day Parade – March 17, 11:30… Warning, our area is going to be chaotic that day
Brown Bag Concert – March 20 at 12pm.  – The Wires, Alternative Strings – Sanctuary
