Dear Westport Presbies,

Heads up on a couple Connection Hour programs we’re starting up THIS SUNDAY!  What is Connection Hour?  Think of it as an updated version of our Fellowship classes, where we can get together and share our thoughts and ideas and connect with others.  All are welcome.

• Overcoming Dumpster Fire Overwhelm
  Does it feel like everywhere you look the world is on fire? This weekly workshop will give you  1-5 minute tools to help deal with the stresses of our modern way of living.
  *9:30-10:30 in the Chapel
• Book/Discussion Group
  Readings related to various topics including faith, art, culture, politics, earth care. Join us to discuss what we want to begin reading/studying.
  *10-10:50 in the library

Other upcoming activities:

• Congregational Meeting
  Brief meeting after church on 10/20.  First, we will vote to approve a 2024 Nominating Committee. Second, we will consider a proposed amendment to our congregational by-laws
• Friendsgiving Potluck
  Our annual Friendsgiving Potluck is scheduled after church on November 24, the Sunday before Thanksgiving
• Christmas Decorating
  Stay and help after our Friendsgiving Potluck! We need to change our church from Thanksgiving to Christmas as Advent starts the very next weekend!  We’ll start work around 1 or 1:30, after we’re all stuffed from the Friendsgiving goodies everyone brought in
• Early Voting in Missouri starts on Oct 22
