CALL TO RETURN TO OUR SOULS
Pastor: Siyahamba! We are praying in the Light of God for healing today.
People: Being human! Being alive!—is a journey of healing.
Pastor: The earth needs healing.
People: The sky needs healing.
Pastor: Tree families, flower families—
People: Animal families, plant families— all need healing.
Pastor: How healing happens is both knowable and unknowable!
People: Wounds closing is knowable. Therapies strengthen. Medicines work.
Pastor: More unknowable is the process by which resentments & regrets melt.
People How does a person climb out of despair?
Pastor: Remain buoyant amidst depression?
People; Turn fear into faithfulness?—
Pastor: Healing is a hidden spring which runs with constant, quiet power.
People: Healing is loving encounter which connects one soul to another,

*Rev Scott will be off duty for two weeks, starting this Wednesday, Sept. 15, returning Wednesday, Sept 29. Rev Eric Garbison will lead worship on Sept 19 and Sept. 26. Rev Eric will also be available for hospital visits, pastoral calling.
*Look ahead to Sunday, Oct. 3 worship service for another Dialogue Sermon between Micah Rose Emerson and Rev Scott. They will be going deeper into the subject of “What is Racism? What is Anti-Racism?” Micah is the anti-racist organizer and educator for the Presbyterian Urban and Immigrant Ministry Network of Heartland Presbytery.
