PRELUDE: Let All Things Now Living— Hayes /Gaspard
UNISON CALL TO RETURN TO OUR SOULS

This is what compassion does: It challenges our assumptions! Our sense of self limitation! Our sense of being at the center of everything! Our lack of empathy for the vulnerable and marginalized. Or, conversely, when suffering, this is what compassion also does: It diminishes our sense of worthlessness, Of not having a place in the world, Our feelings of loneliness, Estrangement. Be compassionate whenever possible. It is always possible.

Unison Prayer:

Did I offer peace today?   Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing?  Did I let go of my anger and resentment?  Did I forgive?Did I love?  These are the real questions.  I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits,  here in this world and the life to come.
