CALL TO CONFESSION AND COMMITMENT
Leader: As Jesus followers, we give our hearts to the idea that Jesus is The Way. When Jesus said “I am the way” ,he had action in mind, as in “The way I am walking is The Way.”
People: It is always a good time for us to start walking and keep walking The Way.
Leader: Today we acknowledge that these are the ways we need to walk.
People: We have been blind. Now we would see.
Leader: We have been lost. We desire to be found.
People: We have been hurt. We desire healing.
Leader: We have been estranged from those we love.
People: We will find a way to healing and walk it.
Leader: Let me to die to my own worst impulses. I will be reborn.

May our offerings change us. May our offerings change our church. May our offerings change the path and fate of just one person. May our offerings travel a long ways beyond us & make Your Realm of Love larger. And may our offerings travel a long ways inside of us and make us more humble. Amen.
- Thanks to all who are making Westport Showers happen on Sunday morning (showers, breakfast, clothes washing, clothes giveaway) and Westport Weekday Food Refuge (nutritious lunches, guidance and resource counseling) during the week. We especially need men’s socks, underwear and shorts. We also need Sunday morning volunteers!
- Thursday night showers are happening every Thursday with a focus on supporting women, trans and gender non-conforming folk.
- Next Sunday’s worship service will include HOLY COMMUNION and a DIALOGUE SERMON with Stan Morgan and Rev Scott discussing #GoodTrouble KC—a Police Reform Initiative in Kansas City.
- ZOOM Bible Study is this Wednesday, Aug. 3, 6:30-7:30 p.m. We are studying Mark 2: 1-12.
