Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” Jesus also said, “You are the light of the world.” But light itself cannot be seen. Light travels too fast to be seen. We see what light lights up. We see what light shines on. Be the light. Become the light. Become Jesus following light.

RESPONSIVE CALL TO REPAIR AND HEAL OUR SOULS

Leader: You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve the world’s problems at once.
People: But don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.
Leader: Listen to your hopes instead of your fears— How this time, we decide to stop doubting and to start dreaming.
People: How this time we commit ourselves to building the world As it should be to serve our fellow human beings.
Leader: We need to fix our souls. Our souls are broken and we have lost our way.
People: We are all God’s children And there’s so much more that unites us than divides us. Amen.
